Well so much for spring. Freezing rain began yesterday evening before shifting into dense snow which has accumulated to 8 inches so far. Low pressure centered over Lake Michigan is causing a massive mid latitude cyclone to funnel cold air from the north and moisture from the gulf yielding extremely wet snow. The snow has been falling here for nearly 16 hours and although it shows no signs of stopping, the weather map tells us that it is nearly over. The same cold front that hit us is making its way to the east coast the left overs include a high pressure dome over Colorado and scattered precipitation towards the west coast. Predictions for tomorrow include sunny skies and warmer temperatures for a short while.
Today's Haiku
It snowed a crapload
But tomorrow might be nice
Don't get your hopes up
