Wednesday 4/2/14

Today's Conditions
Temperature: 41 degrees Fahrenheit
Windchill: 35 degrees Fahrenheit
Dew point: 19 degrees Fahrenheit

Wind: 10mph E
Cloud cover: Fair
Pressure: 1022 mb

Returning from my April Fool's Day trip to Miami, temperatures are a dramatic 40 degrees lower but the low standards in Wisconsin view 41 degrees as a beautiful summer day. Winds blow from the East today due to a high pressure system to our northwest and funnel into a large series of low pressure systems spanning from Montana to Arkansas. An enormous precipitation system is making is way toward Eau Claire from the Dakotas and is expected to rain or snow starting tonight and leading into Friday depending on the temperature. Warm temperatures like today before expected freezing temperatures means a high chance of freezing rain, so be careful when on the sidewalks and especially when driving in the morning.

Today's Haiku
Clear and sunny skies
Leading into freezing temps
Freezing rain likely
